    Thumbs up Spur pics

    Hi,

    I took these pictures this afternoon for a thread on another forum but thought they might as well be on here too.

    In the small number of snakes I have over here the spur size has never proved to be a reliable sexing method - and here is why.

    My proven male normal Herman;

    And my largest proven normal female Salome ( don't tell her I said it but she is a bit of a fatass )

    Yup.. My biggest girl has HUGE spurs.. and when I first got her, the guy named her "mad dawg", and said she was a male, because he was told to judge by the spur sizes.

    HER name is now Kali, she has very unique, dark burgundy colours to her..

    Oh wow, she has big spurs, lol. One of my girls has larger spurs than any of my males!

    One thing I've noticed is that the girls have larger fat pockets on their heads than the boys. That's just something I've noticed in my collection, not sure if anyone else has noticed this. I suppose the girls are larger than the boys, so that could be why

    All mine have tiny spurs. If they're male, I don't know how they're going to "tickle" a female with them...o-O
