Wink So proud of my new female BP

Newbie to reptile keeping but I have a new female normal BP that had her first shed (with me) this week. Yesterday when I got home from work there was one complete piece in her enclosure and she was bright and beautiful in her new skin. Will post pics when I can. I feed her on Sundays and have never had any problems. She just took an adult mouse that she struck within 3 seconds of putting it in with her (i feed in a separate enclosure). I hope I don't jinx anything but she is doing remarkably well. I am switching to rats next week so we will see (I am out of mice).

Thanks to everyone here for all the incredible info available to make sure my new girl lives a long and happy life with me! You are all right about the addiction though I am looking for more.

Congrats on your new baby! My first was such a joy too. Also a normal female and she did and is doing really well. It's nice - and a relief - to have the new ones eat well, shed well, do well, etc. And they are addicting, lol.......

Don't you love that feeling? My Het Pied Female just shed 3 days ago and pooped last night, so today was clean tub and weigh in. She's beautiful after last shed and i love seeing freshly shed snakes, makes you feel good to see it all come off in one piece and have a nice, slightly larger snake. Now shes 730 grams and on her way to being breed-able. Shes already 13 months old!

Also can't wait to see the pictures.

Talking Re: So proud of my new female BP

Sorry for the bad pic but I didn't wanna stress her out on feeding day, but here is my girl. The people we got her from said she is het something but I don't know what. She is def a norm. I got the contact info from their breeder a while back to find out but haven't contacted him yet. The substrate in the pic makes her look reddish, but you get the jist.

Her name is Olive because of the 2 olives in her back pattern
