No poop yet, should I be worried?
We got a ball python for my son about 3-4 weeks ago. It's a baby, 4-5 months old or so. He seems perfectly healthy in all aspects, but he's eaten 2 mice since we've had him, and not pooped yet. I thought I'd heard that they'd poop after each mouse, so I was getting a little concerned. Any thoughts? Thanks.

It is perfectly normal for a snake that young not to poop after every meal. The snake is absorbing the nutrients from the meal. I have a four month old that poops once about every four weeks.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Mine waited a couple weeks, then shed and let one goooooo.
Sometimes it does have to do with little things off in the husbandry sooo...
How are you heating the enclosure, what are you heating it with?
What are your temps, and how are you measuring and controlling them?

Thanks for the quick replies, that eases my mind. As for how I am keeping him, it's the pretty basic set-up; UTH, thermostat, nocturnal bulb, 2 identical hides. Temps seem to be in-line, although I struggle keeping the humidity up.

tank or tub, if tank put sheets of tin foil over then duct tape right over that u can also cut of a circle for the light and a little cut out for ventilation this should boost your humidity

I totally second the aluminum/tin foil over the top of the tank screen. I did that and it works like a charm
Don't worry, my BP's go very infrequently, but when they do, it's a MESS!

.1 ultramel motley het caramel corn snake
1. butter motley het caramel+stripe corn snake
1. fiance I had to rehome my kitty, and my dog got cancer and we put her down. RIP.(Did I forget anything?? )

Don't worry, it will go. And when it does you will wonder how the elephant got into your snake's cage..

Thanks for all the advice, I did the aluminum foil trick tonight and it's working great.
