Buying Probes

So I have popped my snakes to determine their sex, but I am going to be breeding them by next year hopefully so I want to make sure im 100% correct.

Does anyone know where I would be able to aquire some probes? And how many probes do I need? Is there a different probe for different sizes of ball python? I have 6 that range from 300-1200 grams. Thanks in advance for the replies!

p.s. What exactly are you looking for when you probe that determines the sex? Is it how far the probe goes in or what?

Yeah most expos will have probe sets for $10-$25 depending on style and quality. Some sets can be very sharp at the end for the smallest probes for corn snakes and other small hatchlings. Other styles will have balls at the end to protect the internal organs from any damage. I would get a good quality set and find a person you know who's experienced with it show you exactly what to look for. It's easier to see done in person, plus with really squirmy snakes, 2 people are a must.

Definitely get some with the ball tips. The last thing you want to do is puncture your snake's goodies.
