Rhacodactylus Leachianus Care?
Does anybody keep these? I'm absolutely in love with geckos and after I do my research, get my 5 lot of crested geckos, and save up the money, I really want to get one. I've seen lots of videos (I just finished watching about 2 hours worth of videos on youtube ) of how big they get and how tame they are, and I absolutely adore them.
I only have a few questions, and if there is something else I missed or really important I need to know, please tell me
Do they require any heat, or are they fine at room temperature like crested geckos?
Do they require a UVA/UVB set up?
I know I'd be fine with feeding them CDG, and dusted insects (I know its not required, but wont they grow faster?), but would I need to feed them pinky mice or anything? I saw a few videos of people feeding theres pinkys and even fuzzies

That site has some nice information on them. Their care is very similar to cresteds.

The care is pretty much the same as crested care except for a few things:
- Adults need much larger enclosures and prefer cork bark tubes to hide in and climb on.
- They eat more, so will need to be fed more and/or more often.
- They like slightly higher humidity, but you must make sure the substrate is not wet because they will get sores from laying on it if it is too wet.
- They tend to be more secretive, so glass or totally see-through enclosures are not preferred and can stress them out.
- Some leachies can be cage territorial so be prepared for that possibility.
They do not require heat or special lighting, as long as your room temps are 68-78 degrees. Some people feed pinkies, but it is not required. My leachies ate crickets when they were young, but stopped eating insects long before they were fully grown so I stopped offering them.

Thank you both for your replies
How high of a humidity do they need though? 80% or so? I'm pretty sure that cresties need 70%-75% unless I've misread things.

They don't need constant high humidity. You want to mist to bring the humidity up, but it also needs to dry out--this should be a cycle that happens within a 24 hour period. When you mist, the humidity will go all the way up to 100%, and it should then dry out throughout the next 24 hours. If you live in a low humidity area, or it is winter and is naturally drier you may need to mist more than once per day but you never want it to be constantly wet.
