Puzzle Pattern
I want to start this off by saying I do not know much about Burm morphs.
We all know that the puzzle pattern indicates that a burm is het for granite. But, could it be that granite is the super form of the puzzle pattern?
I know I'm probably wrong, I just thought that it made sense.

the puzzle pattern is just a marker for the granite gene.

That's what I've heard. It just seems odd to me that a marker would be so prevalent.

I get that genetically they aren't technically different morphs. But, it just seems like they would be considered partial morphs, or something along those lines.

Wouldn't the normal gene and granite gene have incomplete dominance? Meaning both traits are blended together.
