    Keeping Males and Females Together?

I have a 55 gallon tank and have a male and female, both under 500g. When they get older, i would like to breed them, but was wondering if I house them together now, will they breed when they mature? They're in separate tanks for the time being. Thanks!

if you keep them together (not recommended) they can still breed. if you separate them, you will have better odds on breeding them. when breeding 2 balls, it's best to have a rotation on days in and days out. the re-introduction of the 2 snakes time and time again helps in getting lock ups. it keeps the male's interested.

DON'T DO IT!!! The male is ready to breed but the female still has almost a year until she will be developed enough to have eggs. The female will get egg bound and they usually die from it. When their organs aren't developed yet and they get pregnant, being egg bound is usually a very common situation.

Keep them separate until the female is ready, you will thank yourself and us later on.
