I have found a solution that seems to work pretty well! It's a tad clunky to set up, but once you get it set, you should be able to use it exactly as you did marking threads as "Favorite" in the old-style forum.
Go into your UserCP
Look for the box on the left that says, "My Subscriptions"
Click on "Edit Folders"
You'll see an option to "Add New Folder"
...name one "Favorites"
Click "Save Changes"
THEN...go find the threads you used to have saved in your Favorite's folder. You're probably already subscribed to them. Any thread you have started yourself or participated in, you are automatically subscribed to and they are all already in your "Subscription" folder.
While in the thread itself, click on the link at the top that says,"Thread Tools"
Select "Unsubscribe from this Thread"
Then click on "Thread Tools" again...
And select "Subscribe to this thread"
(For any thread you're not already subscribed to, you only need to do the last two steps.)
THAT will give you an option of which folder to put it in. Place it in your "Favorites" folder. And then you can access it from your UserCP basically the same way you could your old Favorites list. Just click on the folder name and whatever you put in there should appear.
I hope this helps some folks...I know I've missed the ol' Favorites list!
