i would recomend a tiger for a starter, i have got one and it is so easy to take care of and a lot of fun. you cant go wrong with getting one
axolotls might fit someone on a salamander kick They do well in captivity, and have been kept in captivity by researchers for many many years.
we have tigers in our window wells every year... they are great little pets.. SUPER easy to care for. And some have quite the personality. They have great appetites for worms too
yeah i would go tiger salamander, i picked up a pair a few weeks ago and they are pretty cool.
