    Did I miss her ovulation?

    Hi,

This girl finally shed tonight after a shed cycle that was either incredibly long or fairly short.

She hasn't been cooperative about palpating for ages so I can no longer be certain if I can't feel them because of that or because they are now eggs.

I seem to have either forgotten to record her last shed before this one or she has just had the longest shed cycle I have ever heard of as it states she was in blue on the 15th of May and shed on the 24th of May and then opaque on the 4th of August (but no shed recorded ) and then blue on the 17th of September and shed on the 20th of September.

She isn't hugging the hot end of the tub like Cleo is though but seeimngly moving around fairly randomly.

And she did lock up with the lesser on the 7th of September.

I guess I'm just fretting in case she has reabsorbed.

I've learned to use a table leg for palpating, works great.

place the snake on the floor and let the snake grab a table leg and pull away from you while you gently squeeze upwards on the belly.
It makes even the hardest ones to palpate much easier.
When they pull away from you they can't tighten the belly muscles up nearly so much. making it easier to feel the eggs/follicles.

She has a kind of glow to her don't she
