I've never really heard the term 'black belly', but having coloration like that on the belly isn't by any means uncommon among normal ball pythons.

Many visual morphs in fact have a tendency to clean up the belly quite a bit.

Where did you get this Black Belly?

I'd say he's a good example of one. Look a how it's separated from the side flames...Is this a pet store find or show purchase?

This is something I produced with 14 others. This one is the best example.

It's not a super well known morph, but that looks like one to me from pics I've seen, sweet belly.

I can find very little info on black bellies. Alittle talk in 2008 and thats about it. They are suppost to be half of what you need to make yellow jackets. I don't know what they are or not, so thats why I'm looking for some ideas.

Re: Is this a BLACK BELLY?

I've got a girl here that I'll be breeding to my pastel this season who might be a black belly - hoping for some yellow jackets!

I've not seen Ian's line of black bellies to do a comparison, so I can't say whether that one is or not (nor can I say if mine is or not).
