I have only produced a couple of what I would call Epic Specials... Epics are a highlighter trait, and the Epic Specials are just a tad lighter and more blushed out. I had one just crawl out that has crazy blushing, but is not that light (even though Specials lighten with each shed), so I am wondering if he is Epic?
In Pastel Specials, the Epics come out similar to how Super Pastels come out. They are either a lighter yellow with a slightly reduced pattern, or they are a more intense yellow with a busier pattern. I have wondered if some of the Epic Pastel Specials were Super Pastel Specials when they crawled out. I even produced what I thought was one of the most badass Super Pastel Mojaves, but turned out to bite me in the ass and is what I am guessing an insane Epic Pastel Mojave.
Epics are highlighters and not really anything exact yet. Even my results from the Epic to Normal clutch and Epic Mojave to Epic Mojave were not all that exciting, so I am going to try a couple different breedings this coming season to see if anything definite comes of it.
If you search the word Epic in the morphs and genetics section, I had posted a long story with photos of different Epics that have been produced. I am too bust right now to take photos or search for old photos, but I can after the Anaheim show.

Thanks for the reply Tom, the reason for asking about the Epics is that i have been producing these dinkers that now and again throw like a high yellow version of the morph. Heres a link to the story and pics http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...rph-needs-name
check out page 4 for the comparison pics of the 09's. Alot of people think they could be Phantoms, even RDR said they were Phantom looking type which i would say that they look similar but its these high yellows that make me think they are different, as no one has mentioned a highlighter gene in the Phantoms. Any thoughts Tom.

    Thanks again
