Restless male BP?
Hey all, I haven't been on much due to lots of other things going on. I noticed that my '09 male Pastel who hit yearling in August and is over 900g has been semi restless today which is very unusual. I noticed that he had peed and pooped last night while I was sleeping and when I went to clean his tub this morning, he was on top of his hides. I cleaned his tub, double checked temps and humidity and everything is spot on. I checked on him later in the day and he was back on the floor of his tub, just chilling, not cruising, but not in either hide. This evening, when it was feed time, I opened his tub and found him again on top of hides. He showed no interest in the rat (which is not entirely unusual for him), but was just a bit more active and restless than usual. We have recently had a change in the weather and the days are, of course, getting shorter. I was wondering if having an immature female in the house has him looking for love or if only a mature female would cause that type of reaction? At this point, I am not really worried, just curious and wondering if I should be looking for other issues. As stated, this strange behavior just started today and really I'm thinking that if having one immature female has him this excited and ready for action already, I'll hopefully be looking at excellent breeding seasons in the future. Thanks in advance!
