    Dilema with feeding

Edgar, my bp, is 4 months and 18 inches.Tomorrow is his first feed. The store has been giving him pinkies and told me to feed fuzzies, Looking over all the posts and from your all suggestion I realize they are to small. I have searched all over Dayton, Ohio for hoppers but no one has them. I am hesitant to buy any on line because the quantity is no less than 50. Plus I really don't want 50 frozen mice hanging with my ice cream. I don't think it will be long before he would move up to small mice. So should I feed 2 fuzzies? Also anyone know of store that has a good selection of frozen mice in Columbus, Dayton, or Cincinnati, Ohio? I will be more than happy to travel to get him the right food.

Also with all the suggestion. He now has black construction paper over the 3 sides, tin foil on the top, vines, and a piece of drift wood. Right now being 10 in the evening he is hanging from his drift wood, looking for a place to escape. lol.

    Any suggestions would be great.

unless you have plenty of $ .. i would look into buying f/t from rodentpro or someone like that.. a adult mouse at my local petstore is 2.59 each so 50x2.59 = $129.50 + tax.. where as 50 adult mice shipped to you would be somewhere around $60... 50x .45 = $22.50 + shipping ..

Over the long haul, buying bulk feeders is the most economical way to go. And honestly, they don't affect the icecream one bit. Just keep them wrapped in a brown paper grocery sack or something discreet and no one will know.

BUT...for a single juvi snake, it's not practical to buy a lot of 50 hoppers or whatever...because they will quickly outgrow that and move on to larger sized rodents.

The store you bought him at has been feeding him PINKY MICE for FOUR MONTHS??? Poor hungry little snake! Not knowing his size, I can't say if a small adult mouse would be too big...might be. And if you can't get hoppers, then feeding multiple fuzzies is fine. Maybe try to find fuzzy rats?
