Heat Tape Help

I am confused...when you go to www.bigappleherp.com or anywhere, it says you get heat tape for like $3...how many feet is it? Is it $3 for 3 feet then you add 3 feet by the quantity or something?

This is where I was looking. I am confused because I thought you ordered by the foot and put how many you want but it seems like you buy it by 3 feet at a time?
