My Snake Has a Problem... Can You Help?
I have a spider ball python, and she is one year old. She does this weird thing where she sort of swirls her head around in circles when she looks up. It's like she can't control her head. She has been taken to the vet, and we are still trying to figure out what her problem is. Has anyone seen anything like this before? It seems to be neurological. She doesn't have any problems shedding or eating.
Thanks!

I believe that's Wobbles and that is a problem in spiders. I don't know how much it effects them though.

yup thats the wobbles. its neurological and all spiders can have it. some dont ever have it, some have it as babies and not as adults, some babies dont have it and get it as adults, or some have it their whole life. dont worry, they dont know any different and it will not effect their life

Correction all spiders wobble to a certain degree, some are train wrecks and with some it is barely noticeable which lead some people to believe that they have a Spider that does not wobble, but they do

Ditto to the others, perfectly normal for a Spider.
Might want to let her vet know about it, if the vet isn't informed about it then they kinda should be.

Welcome to BP.net, yes wobbles a neuro trait in spiders, I agree with the post above, inform your vet of this, before they bleed you dry.

Ok, thank you guys. I was told that she needed a biopsy, which would cost a fortune, so thank you so much for letting me know before I did that!

Whoever told you that isn't familiar with the mutation..
