Going to my first Reptile Expo, need some pointers and suggestions.

Alright so I plan on going to my first reptile expo ever in November. If I am financially able I really want to get one or two pastels and maybe a spider. I pretty much know close to nothing about picking out a good snake and haggling prices so I need some pointers.

What would the best time to go be? Should I go early so I have more choices or go late so the prices are less? I want a really nice pastel but I'll be on a budget so I need some advice.

What should I look for in pastels and spiders for quality? Maximum price for either in good quality? Any other pointers, advice, warnings, or information would be apreciated. : ) Thank you everyone.

Oh and heres a link to the reptile show if anyone is interested.

in spiders i like a lot of white in the sides and reduced pattern but as far as quality goes i like high quality > cheep snakes. So i would be willing to spend more on a good quality spider rather then a cheep spider just to have spider. what kind of cash are you willing to spend?

Well I plan on breeding them in the future so quality comes first. I dont need anything that is perfect, but good enough to be respectable. I would be willing to spend 100-150 on a decent pastel male or female and as for a spider 200 at most depending on quality and if it has very much wobble. Does that sound reasonable?

Early in the expo you get the best quality animals but pay more, End of the expo people try to unload stock so you can probably catch a better deal at the end. there is always an exception and may get a beautiful animal at any time for a cheap price! but just go to enjoy the show and if you find something you like buy it! I can still remember my first expo I was so excited with all the animals it was awesome!!!!!

Oh I'm so excited I can hardly stand it, I bought my first BP in July and I couldnt be happier. Ive wanted one since I was a little kid and finally got one, Ive always been addicted to them but having one makes it sooo much worse. What about picking out a nice pastel that wont fade as much? Or watching for wobble on a spider?
