13'x13' room dedicated to my snakes.

So I've sectioned off my garage with the specific intent to house my snakes and mice/rats in the room. Does anyone else has a similiar set up? I plan on breeding mice/rats and also acquiring more BP. currently i have 2 normals and one albino corn snake. i'm looking for layout ideas and also any suggestions on this idea.

I didn't section off my garage, I just made my office into a reptile room.

I'll try and get some tonight. It's not quite as elaborate as some though, but since reptiles outnumber everything else in the room, it's a reptile room

layout I think more depends on what you need to put in there, like my reptile room which is 9x9 with a 2x4 nook, I stacked all the racks on one side next to the nook, build shelves for bearded dragon babies in the nook, opposite side went the bigger snakes, i still have room to open the doors. and another wall got the adult bearded dragon cages. just gotta figure out how to make everything work.

heres a thread I made when I first built it, I got alot more in there now. more home built cages, I should take update pictures.

suggestions are defently make sure you got a way to cool and heat the room if needed, heats usually easy since you can just plug in a electric heater. but the only way I got to cool mine is with the houses a/c. 95 degree days can do a number on your reptile room.

most people say put in a fan to keep the room at the same temp, tho I did not lol.

I love my timers turns all the lights off at nights and other turns on the red bulbs for the dragons.

If a wash tub isn't close you might want one of those

for my rats I built a small sealed room in the basement, bathroom fans venting outside

I think rooms are a great idea, easier to control the temp and humidity for the children

Yeah, it's great knowing that your cool side is always 80-82. I have an electric heater with a built in rheostat. I got it at walmart and it works surprisingly well. I use a little fan on the other side of the room, the room has a ceiling fan, but I don't like it running with the dragons and the Cham.

I got three new pick ups so I'll get pics tonight. Also picked up two new tanks. Gotta make a place for them!
