New '08 0.1 Lemon pastel, 1015 gram, and MEAN reduced pattern 0.1 normal 1640 grams

Wow, she's MEAN! It's really funny, she'll just start striking when she's out. It's startling right at first, but it gets funny. I can't figure out why she'd just strike and strike and strike. She won't settle down!

We'll leave her alone in her tub for a while and see if she gets a little more comfortable. She was a little too cold and dry where she was, but GEEZ!

And the lemon pastel is a doll. She's named Victoria, and the meanie is Jezebel.

    Anyway, enjoy.

Jezebel, she has a VERY busy bell pattern. We may try her as a dinker project...
Sorry it's sideways. I can't get it to change...others do, but not this image! I'm getting frustrated! Anyway...yeah, I'm a blue collar guy...Had to use an arrow to hold her. She's just too feisty!

Wow, Jezebel looks a heckuva lot bigger than 1640 in that last pic, but maybe it's just the angle.
    Congrats on the pickups!

Yeah, I thought she'd be 2000 or so before I weighed her. Maybe I'll weigh her again...it's a tricky process with her striking the whole time.

I hope she does, too. Does anyone else have one like this? Or have you had and they calmed down?

What's her history? Do you know? With patient handling and respecting boundaries, with time, I think she'll calm down for you.

They're both gorgeous! You might want to invest in a snake-hook for Jezebel...they're pretty nifty tools for handling feisty snakes.

Yeah, I'll get a snake hook eventually, but until then, I'll just mostly leave her alone. When I need to get her out, I'll use the arrow without the tip. It seems to work ok. A hook would be much easier, but it's doable.

As for the history, I don't know how old she is. Just that the previous owner picked her up approx. 3 months ago from Evan Jamison, the one with the "goldfinger" balls. It may be that she came from one of those clutches, but doesn't show any sign of having those genes whatsoever.

The heat on her cage with the previous owner had become disconnected, so she was cold. And I think they only fed every other week. The male pastel they had was in the middle of, or just had residue from a Horrible shed. Pieces all over him. Anyway, hopefully she likes her new spot with much warmer temps, and higher humidity.

She'll come around, I hope, and think.
