Arched Back
I posted a thread yesterday about my snake thrashing around and keeping his back arched. I thought that maybe he was going to regurgitate a rat but he hasn't and he's been doing it off and on all day now. He seemed really crabby yesterday but today he seems fine.
Anyone know what the issue could be? I posted a couple pictures in the other thread. They don't really do it any justice and I'll try to get another one and post it in this thread. He's been eating regularly and just took a massive poop the other day, so I'm not worried yet... But if he refuses to eat this week I'm going to start to worry

Re: Arched Back

Sorry the pictures suck but I just wanted to give a better idea of what's going on... I'll be taking him to the vet if he starts refusing meals :/

Weird.. it it possible that your snake has in injury there..Like got dropped fell something like that.

I hardly ever even handle him I'm the only one who ever does. If it is an injury will it heal? I did have him out to take some pictures a few days ago, but I certainly didn't drop him... or step on him or anything. I'll take him to a vet regardless but I can't really see a vet putting a cast on him or something of the like. It was weird... It started down low on his body and start moving up closer to his head and now he's just holding it there. At first I thought he was going to throw up but he's since stopped the thrashing and backwards swallowing.

But now that I look at the pictures it's back down near his tail... MAYBE I bent him weird when i put him in a sack to clean his tub?! But that was before he ate also

Re: Arched Back
They can arch with an RI. It's an attempt to get the fluids out of the lung.
How's the inside of the mouth looking? If he keeps it up, I'd go to the vet just to see if they could find out what's going on. But then again, I'm the paranoid kind.

I checked his mouth, it appears to be clear but it looked normal when he got him and he had a horrible RI. SO if he doesn't eat tomorrow then he'll be going to the vet I assume that it would higher up if it was an RI... I was just really concerned because he was throwing himself all around and was super irritated at first.
