Is it safe to feed mice that have been thawing for a few hours?

My friend recently took care of my BP while I was away, and I just found out that he left the mice thaw out for over five hours before feeding it to my snake on one occasion. I'm quite concerned and am worried that my BP might get sick. Should I be worried? Is there anything I should do? Thanks.

I'm sure it's fine. I know a lot of people that take their mice/rats out to defrost before work in the morning ready to feed when they get home.

I thaw my rats for 24 hours before feeding.

Five hours is nothing to worry about, IMO.

On feeding day I take my rats from the freezer and move them to the fridge until 5:30 pm. when I get home from work and then move them to the counter for about 4 hours until feeding time - never had any issues.
