So I picked up the hairless dumbo from a source that will remain unnamed and the standard happened to be at a pet store several hours from our place. I about screamed when I saw the pet store had a dumbo dalmatian!!! Or variegated, whatever you want to call it, I like dalmatian better Dalmatian is my absolute most favorite marking!

Also, these are my first pet rats in over 2 years. That was when my first pet rat died and I was so heart broken I couldn't stand the thought of loving another rat that would die in 2 or 3 years. But, these cuties stole my heart, mostly the one with hair because he's a sweat heart!!

So anyway. I was hoping to get a female dumbo, but that didn't happen obviously. The pet store only sold male EVERYTHING. It was really annoying, but that's besides the point. If I breed these boys and hold back some girls from both litters and flip flop daddies, as to avoid as much inbreeding as possible, will the second generation of babies be dumbos?

Also, do you think the "hairless" is a double rex or a hairless/standard. I understand that both are crappy hairlesses, but is their any way to tell before breeding it out? Do hairless rats normally have curly whiskers?

Thanks!!! Now pictures!

SUPER CUTE!!

And the standard dumbo!

Cuddled up on my lap. He has been cuddled with me for an hour now
