being that i'm a junior in high school the idea of college has come to mind many times. The major fields i want to go into in the near future are as follows:
Zoology - the study of animals
Ecology - the study of how an organism interacts with its enviorment
Ethology - the study of animal behavior
I have been fascinated with animals (especially all things scaly and slimy) since i was old enough to crawl. I believe these fields of study will allow me to work with various animals hopfully in their natural enviorment. This has been my dream for all my life. While other kids wanted to be a police officer, or a firefighter, i wanted to be a biologist. i will probably go to Michigan State University where they have an excellent zoology program that has specializations in both ecology and ethology.
I just had the need to share this with people who understand my love of animals.
P.S. if anyone knows which of these fields will get me more hands on experience with animals (hopefully in the wild) would be appreciated.
