    Hornet attack

So, on my way back home from lunch, I pulled up to a stop sign and noticed the van in front of me was being swarmed by bugs. It pulled away, and They started towards me.

It was HUNDREDS of hornets, attacking the truck. I just got my windows up in time so I was ok, but I know a lot of people that walk that sidewalk daily. I called the city and informed them, hopefully they can do something about it.

I worked at a honey farm, I have been around bees .. but these were the big daddies, and they were on the attack. I have seen it before, but it was just surreal ... anyone experience that before?

My great-grandma used to have a HUGE (I'm assuming) bee hive in her back yard (of more than 1 acre). One day my dad and brother were out hunting squirls (as they've become a big problem in the are) and came across it. Now, they aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed, and wondered "What will happen if I shoot that?" *eye roll* Well, they started out with a beebee (sp I know...) gun. Just a dent in the hive-no damage. Then they moved on to a 22 rifle. Small hole and like 3 bees come flying out to assess the damage. Then, my brillient father decided to test out my brother's new 12 gage shot gun at close range...a HUGE chunk of the nest falls off and like 10,000 pissed off bees swarm out. Long story short, we couldn't go outside the cabin for 4 hours...

Oh wow.. I was swarmed by wasps when I was little. Now I get antsy if one just happens to fly inside. The stories above just give me the heebie-jeebies. lol
