Water Bowl Bubbles?
Greetings All,
I noticed yesterday that one of my female BP's is either having a lot of fun, or is sick. I cant decipher which. She's stopped what she was doing, but her behavior yesterday has kinda concerned me. For about an hour, she would not stop submerging her head in water, and blowing water bubbles. She does NOT have bubbles coming out of her mouth or nose, she just put her head in the water, and blew bubbles, then came out. She hasn't done it today that I've seen. None of my other BP's have had any issues with RI's, ever. Her Enclosure is a 32QT Tub, in a rack, with heat wiring, on newspaper. Room Temps are a consistent 85 Degree's, with the heat wire pushing for a hotspot of 92-93 Degree's. Humidity is about 57%.
I was just concerned, and thought I'd ask to be sure. If she's sick, she's going to the vet, if not, she can continue to have fun.
Thanks!
Trey

Re: Water Bowl Bubbles?
I've never heard of them blowing bubbles just to blow bubbles maybe snakes can in their own way have their own fun. But if you can look in her mouth look in the upper back corner of her mouth and look for any abnormal grey nasty looking mucousy looking area in her mouth. If that isn't present then maybe she is just playing. As long as she is acting normal otherwise. You know eating and all the normal. But if you think something is just weird, go to the vet don't chance it.

Just tried to open her mouth, she gave me a nice bright red present. Clear mouth though.
