3" and 4" is most commonly used.

11" is a incubator most commonly used.

Herpstat ND= Night Drop. Ball Pythons don't really need a night drop per se. However, I believe some breeders may drop the temps a little to stimulate breeding. I figure, if my snakes need a night drop, they will go to the cool side of the enclosure...

Same here, no issues getting them to breed without dropping temps.
I do however love my herpstat

I do have the ND and during breeding season I usually drop the temps of the heat tape by 10 degrees.

The night drop feature can be turned on on off very easily and you can set the night drop according to YOUR preference whether you want to drop it 2, 4, 10 degrees or more.

You can also chose at what time to start dropping the temps and at what time you want them to resume back to normal.

    Re: Herpstat ND ??

ok thanks, i have one in the mail so it should be here in a couple days and i will read the manual front to back. well if u have a night drop of 10 degrees and it works then ill prolly do the same when it comes to breeding time. but ill prolly just turn it off most of they year.
