    Shedding Problem

I just got a baby ball python and he just had his first shed (ever) yesterday. I noticed today that he didnt shed all of his skin. The last 2 or so inches of his tail failed to shed. The humidity in the tank is correct and I have never had any trouble with my others in the past. I put him in a tupperware container to soak when I noticed this, but he started striking at me and only stayed soaked for 5 minutes or so. I know he is young (that is when they seem to be the most aggressive) and I am sure he is hungry (the breeder I got him from said to give him his first fuzzy 5 days after his shed...so he hasnt eaten) ... Any advise on how to handle the cranky fellow? Thanks in advance.

btw ... I am not so much afraid of getting bit as I am of stressing him out too much
