    Feeding twice in one day?

I decided to go up a size for my bp's prey items because he seemed to get hungry before feeding time rolled around, and because he's still young and could use the extra food. I had a lot of hoppers left over so I figured I'd just feed him twice per week (on different days).

The person at the pet store told me that I could feed him two hoppers in one day and I'm not sure if I should, but he just ate and is still acting like he's on the look out for more mice. Should I feed him again today or just wait a couple days and feed again?

How big is he is the first thing. If i only have small rats I will feed my adult coastal carpets three in the same hour and she would take more. 3 smalls or 1 jumbo same weight so its not a big deal for me.

A couple of my snakes are "garbage disposal" snakes. If one won't eat, I don't throw away a perfectly good mouse or rat...I give it to a garbage disposal. I don't often have one refuse prey but it happens and when it does, Biscotti in particular tends to get a second dinner...never seems to hurt her any and she is always just as game for the second prey item as she was the first. And that's two full-size prey items, so...I think you are safe feeding two smaller items.

You could feed two hoppers in one day until you use up the "extras" and just move up to rat pups or adult mice once you have run through them. I have a couple adult female balls that are my "garbage disposals". I have fed Lucky, Mai, Bertha, Wilma, Mona and Kylee multiple prey items before. Everyone is still kickin and doing fine. So don't worry about feeding two prey items in one day. Feed until your baby has a noticeable food bulge and it is no longer hungry.

I think we all have those "go to snakes" when we have leftovers. As far as babies go as long as I have the supply I like to feed them every 3 days until they start eating small rats and then I back them down to once every 6 days.
