    Re: brumation question

well 6 inches long is still pretty small and typically they do not go into brumatation until they are one year old. The vet did say that girls go earlier sometimes....however that is way to early...to small.

Have a fecal done on your beardie...could be a parasite overload.

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

His basking temps are 100-110 i use play sand as the substrate. I use a zilla uvb bulb i dont know what you mean by type. I just started to dust. I give him baths twice a week. And i feed him small crickets.

    Re: brumation question

Sand is bad for small and sometimes even full grown beardies. It can get on their food and they can get impacted. Or they'll just eat it sometimes. When was the last time he pooped? And how often do you offer a salad? Also, how long have you had the UV bulb? UV bulbs must be replaced every 5 months because they can stop emitting UV.

    Re: brumation question

hmmmm... are you dusting with calcium daily now? You said you just started dusting but with a vitamin or calcium dust? He's not housed with any other beardies? Sometimes the small one will get bullied by a bigger guy and they little guy will act lethargic.

I'd recommend finding a good exotics vet nearby and definitely get a fecal exam done.
