    Skulls for hides?

Just a thought: I have some old cow, deer, and coyote skulls that are cleaned up and sanitized already (so that I could have 'em inside without smell and all that) and I was curious to know if there is any reason not to clean out the insides and use them as a hide in a naturalistic setup?

I'd get rid of all the nasal bones and small sharp bits of things that really wouldn't be needed, and they'll probably need an extra wash to get rid of dust and things, but I figured it would look pretty neat. At least if the snakes use 'em, if not then I'd probably just take 'em out. What ya'll think?

Anything that has holes smaller than the widest part of the snake is asking for trouble, otherwise I see no problems with it.

I used a fox skull in the naturalistic setup for my kingsnake, it worked out pretty good.

I was thinking of using a pair of deer antlers (skull cap still attached) in my rat snake's tank. But then I switched the tanks and now it won't fit. :/

    Thanks for the input!
I'll probably try the cow skulls with the hatchlings and see how they like it, and the smaller ones are probably a great idea for the colubrids
