Keeping a mouse for a day?

I'm going out of town early morning tomorrow(Saturday) and I like to follow a strict feeding schedule , which is the next scheduled feeding day for my ball python. &since the local pet shop I go to for feeding mice isn't open at 6am, I plan to buy a mouse today(Friday) and just keep it in a small plastic KritterKeeper enclosure I have that I use to feed my BP in. Then just feed it before I leave.
Is there anything special I should do to prep the enclosure/is it necessary for keeping for just a day?
I was thinking of adding some aspen bedding and a water bowl.

-I think this should be the correct section to post in lol

That and a couple chunks of food of some sort, meat piece or something, added protein can't hurt

That and feeding a day a head or after won't be an issue either, in the wild they are opportunistic eaters and have no schedule.
