How do I hook up flexwatt to a rehostat or thermostat?

So I just bought my baby ball yesterday and the ambient temperature in my house is between 70 and 80 degrees and Im afraid its going to be way to cold for my BP. We dont have any pet stores in town so I need to make some sort of makeshift heat pad till I can get to petco. Any way of doing this by just going to Wal-mart or Walgreens?

Also this is my cage set up for my 2 month old, let me know if it looks proper.

This was Ra right when we left the breeder. : )

Put him in a room were you can kick the temps up to 80-85. Or you could try this go get a Lamp Fixture and a 50 to 60 Watt regular house bulb from Wal-Mart. Now find a store that sells thin mesh-wire like on a Tank lid. Cut out the plastic area around the rim of your current Bins lid and set the mesh wiring over it. Now just stick the lamp on one of the sides and it will heat your cage up.

Measure the Bins lid before going to get the mesh-wire so you don't have a huge hunk of mesh-wire going over the rim of the bin. Also get a Accurate Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer from Wal-Mart and put that on one side of the Bin and put the probe on the other side of the bin so you can measure the temps and humidity. This is what the Thermometer looks like so you know. I use one myself and it works great.

That top is too irregular shaped to put mesh with a light.

Here is a link that shows how to use flexwatt:

Once you have it wired, all you do is plug it into a rehostat or thermostat.

You can order flexwatt online very cheap. Some hardware stores will carry it as well.

I think the easy thing to do would be to checkout Reptile Basics 'Ultratherm' heat pads. Read through the FAQ's.

If you need a quick fix, just shine a 60 watt incandescent household bulb at the tub (not too close to melt the plastic). Obviously this is not a permanent solution, but it will be fine for a day or two.

Another option would be to get a couple of those instant hand warmers from the drug store and tape them to the outside of the tub

Also, I don't think so many binder clips are necessary. You probably don't need any of them.... I have kept a 500g snake in a crappy lock tub and they haven't been able to get out.

Yea the binder clips are for visual security with my dad, he still doesnt know that I have a BP. He doesnt like snakes and we had a baby corn snake escape when I was 8 or 9. Since then hes convinced it will get out.
