Photo of the enclosure, nice and simple...I love the contrast of the white sand and purple plant thingy.

Fantastic! Thanks for showing the pictures. That is a sand boa, correct? What is its attitude like and how big do they get? What do they eat?

I have always had a mild curiosity about them, they seem really neat.

    Re: New Pickup!

Yeah, its a Sand Boa...it has no attitude at all, its the calmest thing I have ever seen, I love it. Adult males average 15 inches, and females can reach around 24 inches, as for food this one gets 2 pinkies a week for now.
You should hold one sometime, they dont feel like any other snake I have ever held, they are slick and tickle a little when going through my fingers, the scales are like super smooth tiny beads, for going through the sand I guess...wich it can do very fast, set it down and in only a few seconds its under the sand and gone from view.
Males can live in a 10 gallon enclosure and females can live in a 20 long, I hope mine is a female for its bigger size, but I also hope its a male so it can stay in its 10 gallon, lol.
The snake was $69 at 30% off (was $99) and I got everything at once, 20 pounds of sand, 10 gallon tank, wire cover, heat, dishes, plant, hide, 12 pinkies for less than $200. (PS. I got totaly robbed on teh pinkies...$10.99 for 6 pinkies, but I didnt want to go all the way to my normal place for them because its a long drive and I was just there to get my rats....2 boxes of 6 pinkies for $10.99 each !!!!!!!!!!!) $22 for 12 pinkies...Im gonna puke.

I think I found my new favorite snake, lol.

Congratulations, That's a nice looking little snake. I've been thinking about getting a Rough-Scaled Sand Boa...
