    Yeah! First Pip Ever!

I found a little head peering out at me when I checked the egg tub this evening! This is from a Lesser male x pastel female breeding. I can't wait until he/she comes out of the egg. Today is day 54, incubated at 89-90 degrees.

Question- the slit he made is just big enough to fit his head through. Is that normally what they do? And he didn't really move his head while I took the photos....I am probably being a really paranoid mom, but it just doesn't look "right" how he is holding is head through that hole.

    Anyways, here's the photos:

    Thanks for looking!
    Cheers,
    Jessica Gibbs

Congrats on the first pip, it does look like a lesser.

His head should be fine like that if its not to tight but if it was me I'd carefully make the opening a little bigger to ease my anxiety...lol!

    Congrats on the Lesser!

Yeah, that is as much room as they normally give themselves. I usually rip the sides a bit to give them more space, but that's just me. They always find a way of getting out if they want to, with or without help
