    Nice first morph!

Mine was also a spider, which also turns out to be the first morph I produced as well.

    Congrats!

He is very gorgeous, but I'm afraid if you put him with a normal you will only get spiders and normals. Unless of course he's het for genetic stripe. But, there won't be any pastels there.

He's nice and clean though, if you put him with a pastel he'll make you some very nice bee's

Your spider doesn't have the pastel gene as there are no het pastels, only visual pastels. If he was pastel and spider he would be a bee. pastel + spider = bee

Also, I don't think he would be het for genetic stripe as you don't see many around and they would cost much more than a normal spider.

He's a spider, no extra genes came with him unless you paid for them

PS He's a beauty, now find a pretty pastel girl to make some bees of your own in a couple years

    Re: My First Morph (spider)

yes and i asked him about that and he had said about the bee thing... from what i understand pastel is Co-Dom gene and from my understanding its really not "Het" unless u physically see the trait in a co dom morph (and u generally dont call it het). and then the homozygous form is the super or whatever and i don't see any kind of killer bee thing going on with him soo he may have confused me a lil bit haha =P but am i right in the above statement as far as the understanding of the co-dom genetic?
