Just a curious question, how big is your snake, and how often do you feed him/her?

    Hi,

You could actually see the feet and the tail clearly - not just hair?

How are your temps and was there anything unusual about this feeding or your snakes behaviour since?

If your husbandry is spot on, then take a fecal sample to the vet to check for parasites. I had this happen to me and I have seen it at work and thats usually what causes it and it's an easy fix.

sounds like a problem... Hair is one thing but un-digested flesh is a sign that something in your snakes digestion system is working right.. Might was to get a fecal float and smear done at your vets to rule out the easy treatments like internal parasites..

Are you sure it isn't regurgitation??? that sounds like a more plausible idea.

yeah, i believe i read it somewhere that it can be caused by too cold temperature, but i'm not so sure, so i need the experts advice here... and dont freak out yet, seeing large dead rats is more gross than that fecal matter.

Re: my bp's poop was 1/4 mice??

Get the temps correct and measured with digital temp gun or thermometer.

Once you get that spot on youll know how and where to fix it.

DO NOT feed for 2 weeks to allow the stomach acids to rebuild up. If fed too soon youll only produce another regurge.

At 2 weeks from the regurgitation offer a fuzzy mouse. If it stays down great, in 14 days again offer a fuzzy mouse. If second meal stays down then in 7 days offer fuzzy mouse. TAKE IT SLOW WITH SMALL MEALS. Rushing it will only cause the snake to be prone to regurgitation's as it ages.
