All the single ladies... All the single ladies...

OK so this is like an arranged marriage but for way in the future when they are older!! And yes... I love glee...

    But here are my ladies:

Dior the lesser (yes I understand she is hard to see b/c she is in super ball form lol)

    Itsy the spider

    Monet the pastel

Here is the situation, I can afford one double morph male, this male will like be: Pewter

Or I can *possibly* afford two single morph males. These would probably be a cinnamon male and a lesser male.

*If* I get the cinnamon male, he comes with a cinnamon female (so there is added potential for super cinnies. Another option would be to hope for a pewter male (the clutch has not pipped yet) and then also try for a cinnamon female for super cinnies (the pewter and cinnies are from the same breeder.)

    What would you do?

Would you try to save up and go for the pewter male?

Or would you go for the cinnie pair (and then possibly add another single morph male later)?

Or go crazy and get the pewter male and then add a cinnie female?

    Thanks!

I would use your funds to pick up a couple more females, maybe the female Cinny plus something else. Once you get these girls larger, closer to breeder size (1500gr for me), I would then look at getting a male codom, or save for that time period and maybe get a triple banger, or codom het something.

this all assuming your current girls are young.

If you like non of the above advice, I say Pewter.

Well the only reason I'm not 100% sure about buying more females is because I'm trying to start off small, I don't really want to get carried away quite yet lol!

I did want to buy a male, and I don't mind having to wait a couple years for my females to mature.

I can't see myself buying a triple banger because of cost lol (not that they aren't worth it, I know it is an investment animal, I just personally am not ready for that) although I do think I would get a codom double morph or something. I'm not really crazy about going into hets/recessive morphs at this time.

I think what I might do is try to get a pewter male or try to get just the cinny female or possibly the cinny female and another female *sigh* I told myself no more than 4...

Re: All the single ladies... All the single ladies...

Well, a pewter would be a good male, call me crazy but im a bee guy my self. If you got a male bumble bee, with those ladies, you could get lesser bee killer bees, and spiders which is kinda the down side, I guess I would get a bee for the lesser and pastel

What about a nice pastav (Spelling?) ? That would give you chances at BEL's, Super pastels, mojos, lessers, bees, mojo bees. idk just my suggestion.

Great lookin girls you have there! wish I could get those
    0.1 Normal Bella
    1.1 het pied caboose, bones
    1.0 pastel Rasputant
2.1.2 Crested geckos, Bob, kirmet & sweetheart
    0.1 Bearded dragon, Sargenta
    1.1 Ferrets Treble and roseta
1.1 Dogs, cavalier King Charles, Leonidas, Airedale terrier, Sadie

Re: All the single ladies... All the single ladies...

Thanks for the suggestion and the compliment on my girls. You can't have mine haha... but you should get some if you want!

I like bees myself and if I got a pewter I could get if I'm not mistaken which I very well could be:

PewterxLesser: pastel lessers, lesser cinnies?, lesser pewters?, lessers, (cinnies, pastels, and normals?)
PewterxSpider: bumble bees, cinna bees, pewter bees, (spiders, normals, pastels, cinnies?)
PewterxPastel: pewters, sterlings, super pastels, (cinnies, normals, pastels?)
PewterxCinnie (if I got one): super cinnies, pewters, (cinnies, normals, pastels?)

Some of the morphs sounded like things I haven't heard of before, and I wasn't sure if the matchups are even 100% right but I know I have at least some of it correct lol.

I didn't want to get a male that was a spider combo because of my spider female... and then that means I would be buying more males, which means I would be buying more snakes and take myself further into the darkness of the addiction. I was trying to stick with 4.. MAYBE 5 snakes. This is my first year back into BPs after all.

I really like BELs, so maybe I can buy 2 single morph males (and a cinnie female... sigh) and that would bring me to:
    lesser x lesser: BELs
    lesser x spider: lesser bees
    cinnie x pastel: pewters
    cinnie x cinnie: super cinnies

The downside to this is... that would put me at 6 snakes which wasn't something I really wanted to do. I would really like to stay at 5, preferably 4! I know I'll end up getting more I should just give up now...

Re: All the single ladies... All the single ladies...

I agree, save your money now and buy that male in a year or so. Let the girls have at least a year head start. Breeding size is so important for the females, but the male isn't as important.

Save your money and maybe you can buy that "Special" male when you have the money. Set aside a few buck when you can and you'd be surprised how quickly you can save enough for the male.

    Good Luck!

I say use that money and buy a couple more females.. You have a couple of years to buy a male.. But if not, go with the Pewter. That's what I did!
