    Genetic Question!

Hi there, i need some help with co-dominant X recessive punnet squares. What would the labelling be of something along the lines of a bumble bee or killer bee?

Also, if one took a bumble bee X axanthic/albino, are the offsprings all bees het for ax? or bees het for ax, spiders het for ax, pastels het for ax and normals het for ax?

    Re: Genetic Question!

Hey, with a Bee to any recessive trait you will get 25% chance of bees, spiders, pastels, and normals all het for that recessive trait.
With a killer Bee, things will ofcourse get a bit more complicated. All your babies will be pastels, 50% chance of producing a bee and all babies are het for the recessive trait. Hope I cleared things a bit.

    Re: Genetic Question!

The short answer is that you need to know that a bumblebee is a double het and a killer be homozygous pastel and het spider.
