Hello,

I've recently gotten a young ball python, and she seems to be health. I'm concerned about a few things though.

She was balling up the first few days we had her, but she has not been doing it recently. She's been striking a lot, well not a lot but during a feeding (she was still hungry, hunting for two hours untill i offered another mouse) and she just had a soak to help with a bad shed she had from the store, and she struck at the wash cloth.

Her appetite is health and she's nice and strong, but i'm wondering if she's just still getting used to us? As was said, she was eating fine, seems to be nice and explorative, and past the few strikes she's very well tempered.

He urinated today after the warm soak, a bit of white (like bird poop) and green was with it. I'm going to assume it's urates, but i'm going to take her next stool sample to the herp vet. Is this normal?

Her enclosure is glass 18x18x18, temps run at 90 on the bottom, 80 for the cool, and at night it's 85 warm, 78 cool. Aspen chips bedding, and two hides. Humidity is sitting at about 50%.

Again, she seems healthy, but the strikes are getting me concerned. She has bitten be twice (little kisses lol) but i'm just wanting to know if this is normal for a snake.
