Albino x Albino Breeding???...What do you think?

    What do you guys think?

I'm interested in breeding the 2 and want to know what you guys think. Is there any Serious Negatives to this breeding?

I know it's been done and the outcome was nothing but good.

    They are Un-Related also.

I've tried the "Search" option but came up empty handed. I'm looking on other forums as well.

    Thanks everyone.

Re: Albino x Albino Breeding???...What do you think?

I know many people disagree with doing an albino x albino boa breeding, Im not sure about balls. But I think, and so do others, that if both specimens are from strong bloodlines and are not related, it should be fine.

Yeah, they are both in perfect health and over breeding size...I've heard about albino x albino breeding in boas but not much in ball pythons....

    Thanks

I'm gonna have to claim ignorance on this topic. Why would breeding 2 albinos be frowned upon? What are the issues with it?

Re: Albino x Albino Breeding???...What do you think?

There are various organisms in which certain morphs cause issues. Sterility, nerve issues, etc. I've heard a lot of things about Albinos, all from various sources, and rarely have they had supporting information, aside from word of mouth. So, yeah, the OP is probably asking if there are issues with Albino BPs.

Re: Albino x Albino Breeding???...What do you think?

The only issue that Ive seen personally from any morph is the spider morph. Im not saying that every single Spider BP has wobble, but the genetics in the morph can cause severe wobble. One of the breeders here in VB is considering putting down 3 Bumblebees because they cant eat due to the severity of the wobble. Its really the worse 3 cases Ive ever seen. Ive never heard any negativity about the Albino gene though, so GO FOR IT! 100% Albino babies, and I will PM you my address so you can forward one my way.

I have a little knowledge in albino BPs, as far as line breeding and the negative affects...But, yeah I was just asking in general as far as how often does anyone see or Hear of any thing bad happening...I haven't personally heard much or had it Proved to me that something bad will happen...So, they are gonna "Get Jiggy wit it"...LOL.. So unless I get FACTS, it's all gravy..

Yeah, my spider is ALMOST perfect...He has a VERY Slight wobble at,he does the cork screw dance when he's trying to go upwards, and thats even minimal...I'll try to get a video next feeding, he's 95% free of the wobble, even when feeding you can Barely notice...
