    How do you know

How do you when you're ready for a giant, I have always wanted to get my hands on a burm since I was really young.

I have a couple large boas and am not afraid of big snakes. My thinking is that the snake is not going to grow to 25 ft over night so I have time to adjust to the size of the snake as it ages and grows but because I haven't had any hands on experience with a adult yet I am still a bit nervous.

I have the space needed and everything I would need to keep a burm for life but I am still torn between keeping it or admiring it from a distance.

How did you guys know it was the right time to get a giant.

    Re: How do you know

I just went out and got one and worried about it later LOL.

I know thats not the best way to do it, but I think I got my first Burm when I was maybe 12?

I had the room to keep it and ended up getting it a 72" neodesha eventually.

If you want one and you know that you can care for one then I say get it.

They're awesome animals. Feeding them is out of this world cool. They are much more fun to feed than boas.

    Re: How do you know

If you have the space and all the requirements for keeping one it ust boils down to when you KNOW you are ready. Like mumps said, if you are on the fence about getting one, you arent ready for one. When you can wake up and sit there and say its time for me to get a burm, in mot worried about it causing problems, then its time for you to get one. I just picked up 2 little girls and love them, but ive had experience with giants before.

dont rush yourself, it could be a huuge mistake
