    Pastels - that pink coloration

I've been shopping around for some nice pastels and came across Graziani's "G1 Pastel Hypo" line, with that strong pink/peachy coloration along the sides of the snakes. It's an amazing look and I would think it would drastically increase the price until I started seeing the same thing on pastels (including lemons) being sold for around just $100. At that price, I would guess the coloration is only a temporary characteristic of some young pastels and shouldn't be a factor in buying one (unless it is actually a G1). Am I right? Because I would love to be wrong!

I'm also curious about the color change pastels go through. I've alternately heard all but the best pastels either fade in intensity or actually turn brownish as they age. What are people's experiences with that? And does anyone have some examples of a typical "browned" pastel compared to what it looked like as a baby?

hypo is a simple recessive trait that will bring with it a much higher price tag when compined with other morphs. Yep, pastels will brown out quite a bit but still look pretty cool as adults--especially when you consider their super (homozygous) form.
