Hides?

Hey guys, I just got a really nice dragon a few days ago at the ATL repticon. I have been looking through alot of caresheets and I just dont see anything about hides? Do you leave any in there for them to sleep in? I leave 2 hides in mine for nighttime but he doesnt seem to want to use it. I have the lighting, temps, and feeding down. I gave him a bath today and he loves it but again with the sleeping issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mine go hide at bedtime, that's about it, but sometimes they use it and sometimes they don't. I don't think it's required. I use a log as one basking spot which they will take turns sleeping under. Usually you can find the other one with their face under the fake plants. Other times, they will each pick their corner and just stick their nose in it. My sister tried hides, but she found they never used them.

Our bearded dragon has never used hides and he's a year old. He prefers to find the highest point in the tank and sit there. Try getting a tree he can climb. We even built ours a tree house and he loves it.
