    Hasn't moved since eating.

So I've had my baby ball python for a while now, almost two months I think, and he finally had his first meal with me on 7/06/2010. It was a pretty big meal, because he refused f/t, and there are no live hoppers/fuzzies, here. So he was fed a pretty small live mouse, it wasn't that much bigger than the thickest part of him, it was the smallest baby mouse I could find. He got it down pretty quick though, after he had it head first in his mouth, it took under 5 minutes.

Now he hasn't moved at all since he has eaten it, he has stayed in the same place that he swallowed it, in a really small hide, on the cool side. I think I saw him stick his head out to get a drink, but that's about it. Is it normal after a very large meal to not move for a week plus? His "cool side" is mid 80's. I can't tell if the lump is going away because, well, he hasn't come out. But I don't see a dead mangled mouse anywhere, so he didn't throw it back up. He has a UTH and a red bulb to keep the air temps up. The UTH is at about 92-93, but he just never moved over to the heat after eating.

Thanks for any and all help!

Its pretty normal for them to stay hiding in comfort to digest there food. Mine has been in his hide since friday when i fed him a small rat. I check on him each day by lifting up the hide just to see how hes doing. I wouldnt be worried. If the temps in his hide are in the 80's, he should digest just fine, just will take a little longer than if he was in the heated one. If your that worried, after 48 hours move him to his warm hide and see if he stays there.

they usually dont move out of their hide. but u do want him to be on the hot side to help with digestion. he'll be fine on the cool side as long as it doesnt get too cool. u really need to feed appropriate sized meals, and try to switch him to f/t. just pick up his hide and check, wont hurt anything. and how old is he, i feed mine every five days and u said u fed over a week ago
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

Yes, I know I need to feed appropriate sized meals, I would have if he would have accepted f/t for the last two months that I've been trying. People on the forum specifically told me it's not good for hatchlings to go that long without food and to try a very small mouse. Which he easily killed and ate even as a small baby.
