Nicest $ Minded place to visit in FL?

Me and my girl want to go to FL next year for a few nights but we will be saving for our wedding so we kind of want to make it a bit money minded and keep things to a minimum.

It's just the 2 of us and all we want is a nice beach and a few good restaurants.

We like the relaxing quiet type vacations.

    Any ideas?

I used to live in FL, and two of my favorite destinations were Anna Maria Island and/or Bradenton Beach.

Check the websites out! You won't regret it if you decide to visit these locations, they are absolutely gorgeous.

i live in orando about an hour from the east coast beaches, i would definitely hit the atlantic coast instead of gulf coast. much prettier and sandier beaches, miami, daytona, cocoa, (st. augustine has wonderful tourism things to do) are all good on the east coast

OR go down to the keys.... its possible to get a good budget vacation off season. I went down to the keys and it was great. Clear water, white sand beatches... gotta love it. On our way back home we stoped in the everglades to see some gators and i had my first encounter with a boa

Have you tried looking in the Ft. Myers/Estero areas? Both great spots to vacation. Beautiful beaches and bars and some really good places to eat.

Re: Nicest $ Minded place to visit in FL?

Daytona Beach. Drive your car on the beach. Pretty decent surf. A lot to do anywhere around the beach. Stay 20-30 minutes away from the beach and you can get a room for less than $100/night. As far as restuarants, there are a bunch where you can eat cheaply. Many are around the speedway. There's a 2 mile stretch on ISB where you can eat on the cheap.

    Have fun!
