    introducing myself

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself. I am wondering if there are "groups" of herp people that are organized in localities. For example, if I were to have a clutch of snakes on my hands who would I turn to? I'm not a retailer, I'm not a reseller or anything like that... The reason this comes up is I have a pretty typical female but I have been considering buying my wife a nice morph for her birthday later this year and of course I can pick a sex. I know it's not exactly that easy, but the question lingered. Because you can't stop with just one. Or two.

So are there groups of people I could get in touch with in the Metro DC or Northern Virginia area to talk about these sorts of things or maybe have a beer or two with? I have the occasional question about feeding and growth (she eats like a pig, enough that the guy at the pet store seemed worried).

Anyways, this was supposed to be an introduction and why I'm here, so I'll shaddap.
