Recommendations...
I was wondering if any of you can make some recommendations on good calcium supplements. I've been looking at the local pet stores and they either don't have a good selection at all or they're all calcium phosphorous blends. If you can tell where you get them that would be so incredibly helpful. There aren't any little pet shops in my area that I've found, just Petsmart and Petland.
Thank you in advance!

Re: Recommendations...
I use repti cal without D3. It comes in a white dish with green lettering. If you are using a UVB/UVA bulb then you should not use D3. If you have trouble finding it then just go online and buy it.

Re: Recommendations...
Is it bad to give them Calcium with D3 if they have UVA & UVB? Will it build up in their system? He has both UVA & UVB in his tank but I read that he still needed D3. But that was just some random beardie book I happened to pick up while looking at the crested geckos today, so I'm not entirely sure how trustworthy it is.

Re: Recommendations...
I use repti-cal w/ D3 (no phosporus) for all my dragons and leopard geckos

You want to give them calcium with D3 unless they get regular exposure to direct sunlight. D3 helps them absorb calcium the lights you buy including MVB don't allow them to produce as much D3 as direct sun light. If they get direct sunlight on a regular basis then you can get the calcium w/out D3 for them. I believe that as long as they get a couple of hours of natural sunlight a week you can get away with/out D3 but I have to double check. I have always given all my dragons calcium with D3 even when I let them outside in spring and summer months with no problems...

Thanks all!
I just started taking him outside, but he's still a little jumpy and I'm afraid if he gets lose in the grass I won't be able to catch him. The pet stores around here carry the rep-cal with D3 and no phosphorous so I'll pick some up today. Thanks again!
