Shedding Frequency?

Is there a set frequency that a BP sheds? Mine shed late last month and I am curious as to if it is a monthly thing or if they just do it as they feel like it. She has been eating very well on live small rats and has grown in the past month and I have heard that feeding plays a part in shedding, so I am just a little confused. I keep her temps between 80 and 90 and the cool side is between 70 and 80 with her humidity staying between 65% and 75%. Not really sure if that info helps, but I am just curious. Thanks guys!

Depends on the snake Usually babies go about once a month, and by the time they are full grown it's like every 4 to 6 months. Your cool side is a little low. I wouldn't let it get below 75. I think that's on the edge of danger.

Would 75-80 on the cool side be a better option? I just recently switched to a rack and am still learning the in's and out's of racking warming and humidity. For instance, the tub in the top of the rack where the BP is stays sometimes several degrees warmer than the tub below that has the baby red tail. I worry about raising temps on the thermostat though because then the tub on top would be roasting while the tube below would be marginally better...if that makes any sense.

Yeah, 75-80 would be much better. Are you using heat tape? Or, UTH on the tubs? Are they all hooked to one thermostat?
