Is it true if you don't use it you lose it?

Im kidding, kind of. I owned 7 ball pythons with plenty of hope that i was going to breed them and see some beautiful morphs. Well i was wrong. I joined the Air Force and needed to sell them. Let me just say they were all worth it. Well im on my way to get back into it. Since the start spiders have always amazed me. I would like to start off with a spider male. Eventually i would like to either get an adult or close to female pastel and a female or a few normal females. What i would like to know is should i get a 2010 male, something around 300 grams, or if the price is right a 800-900 gram male? I would like to know that they are a breeding machine but at what cost? Is it worth it to wait a year or two to hopefully have a breeder or buy one that i know breeds? Im not in this for the money, just the results. I know nothing is guaranteed...

just depends... with males they usually start to breed about 400 - 500 grams... some people tend to try and keep their males fit and under 1000 grams, for the fact than can get lazy and less active for breeding... IMO I would stick with a 2010 male in the 200 or 300 gram range and raise it up... shouldnt have much problem getting them to breeding weight come November and December

If you want to breed this winter then you will need to buy a female that is at least two years old and 1000 grams plus now! If you can wait 2-3 years then get baby females and raise them up, this is the best way as you know they are raised well! Males can be bought as babies and ready for next season! Female normal breeders are pretty cheap!
