First Clutch Ever! :D
I discovered this morning my female laid her clutch! 8 eggs and she didn't even put up a fight. Now she's down to 1200g, poor thing! I hope she starts feeding again soon.

I candled them and they all have veins so I hope they're ok. They all had those splotches on them, kind of like tiny lumps with water marks or something. Is that normal?
Also question on incubating - I have them in an airtight tub, is that ok and how often should I open it for ventilation?

Congrats!! I just got my first clutch ever today (Tuesday), so it looks like we'll be first-time grandparents around the same day...

Re: First Clutch Ever! :D
Oh, and while I'm obviously not an expert, I can try to answer your questions... my eggs (and most others I've seen) have "splotches," some more than others, so I assume that is normal. As for ventilation, I've read to open the tub approx once a week.

They look good. Open the tubs about once each week, and a little more often in the last few weeks. Good luck.
